Nashville Bound - 2016 Beachbody Coach Summit

Next week I will pack up and head out to my second Team Beachbody Coach Summit Event. This years event will take place in Nashville, TN for the second year in a row. Many saw my pictures and posts last year from the event and many have asked me more recentaly what it is and what I would be doing there.

It is basically our giant once a year training for our business and it is a heck of a lot of fun. While it is fun and exciting it is also exhusting. We go non-stop from the minute we get there until we go home.

Trying to pick a dress to wear to the Elite night party - I went for the blue one! 
That week while I am there, I will get to attend several parties and events for the top leaders in the organization. In addition to that we will have live workouts with the celebrity trainers from Beachbody. One of my favorite workouts is the Superworkout where all 30,000 of us line the streets of Broadway and workout together with all the trainers. It is one of the coolest things I have ever seen and a great reminder of why we are here and what we do as coaches.

Obviously I will spend most of my days in jam packed trainings from the top coaches in the network. (Fun fact - my goal is actually to be a presenter at Summit in the coming years.) Stay tuned for that one.

We will gather together to hear from our CEO, motivational speakers and many others to keep us inspired. Some of us also are being treated to a Billy Idol concert this year.

I'm still trying to figure out what to wear to this one. 
One of my favorite parts of summit is THE CORE - it is basically like a MALL with all things Beachbody that they set up for us to shop in. I remember waiting in line for two hours last year to be one of the first in line. I am anxiously awaiting the release of Coutry Heat and am looking forward to picking up other new products that are coming out while I am there. This year I won't have to wait in line because I have earned special access the night before.

What I love most about summit is the gathering of so many in one place who have the same mission. To help others aspire to live their best life. There is something so uplifiting about being around so many positive people and also people who "get" and respect what you do as a coach. This year I will have 12 of my own coaches from the personally sponsored team I have built as well as my husband. While I have many other coaches on the team, these are the ones who were able to make the sacrifice to be here with me. I am so happy and excited for them. Summit is a game changer for your business. The coaches who go to this are the ones who are running with the coaching opportunity.

COUNTRY HEAT WORKOUT PROGRAM - Coming Soon!

YEE - HAW - It's almost here



It's finally time for Beachbody's newest program to be released. The wait is shortly over! Country Heat will be coming out on July 28, 2016. Everyone keeps asking me WHAT IS IT and what's the program all about. If figured if so many were asking me privately, I might as well answer the questions to the public because if one wanted to know many of you probably would too.

WHAT IS COUNTRY HEAT?
Country Heat is a high-energy, low-impact, country dance-inspired fitness program that so fun—you won’t even feel like you’re working out!  Each 30 minute dance routine is packed with easy-to-follow moves. All you have to do is follow along!

WHO'S IT FOR?
Literally everyone - regardless of what level of fitness your on currently. 

WHAT IF YOU CAN'T DANCE?
Doesn't matter. This program has many simple steps that you don't have to memorize. If you did the CIZE program you might remember there were lots of routines to learn. Not with this program. You do a few steps, repeat them and move on. 

IS IT HIGH IMPACT? 
Nope this one will be easy on your joints. 

HOW LONG IS THE PROGRAM? 
30 days. You will have scheduled workouts 6 days a week and have one day off. Most all of the workouts are between 20 - 30 minutes. 

WHAT ARE THE RESULTS LIKE? 
Many from the test group are knocking their transformations out of the park. It has been amazing me how awesome their transformations have been. Some are losing almost 20 lbs in 30 days. Pretty insane huh? The calorie burn is similar to our high intensity program insanity max 30 without all of the HIT training that came along with that program. 







WHAT IF WEIGHT LOSS ISN'T YOUR GOAL? 
No worries. Your program is going to come along with a nutrition guide and portion control continers. Based on your weight and desired goals it will put you in a bracket of how much food you should be eating each day. If weight loss isn't the goal then you simple go up a level on your containers and calories to counteract the calorie burn. You can expect to tone up and lean out though. 

WHO IS THE TRAINER FOR THE THIS PROGRAM?  
Autum Calabrese. She's the celebrity trainer who created 21 day fix, 21 day fix extreme and The Master's Hammer and Chisel. She knows how to help people get results in short amounts of time. 

HOW MUCH IS IT? 
The challenge pack will retail normally for $160.00 but it will be on sale for $140.00 when it launches at the end of July and should stay on sale for August as well. Summer Survival Group

Starting on July 18th I will be offering a 30 day accountability and support group to help my future clients begin a new health and fitness journey for themselves. This is a journey that I took myself a few short years ago.

I was a mom who was sick and tired for putting everyone else first. I didn't have a ton of weight to get rid of, but I did have room to improve when it came to my habits. I was living off of junk food, lattes and little sleep. The thought of having time to exercise was a joke and I never felt like I ever had any time for myself. Finally I decided enough was enough and I needed to change my ways so that my son could be raised in a home with healthy habits when it came to nutrition and exercise.

I would be lying if I told you it was easy. Changing your habits is hard work but I will say I was able to do it because I was in a challenge group. I had a coach who held me accountable. You see it's really easy to buy a workout program with good intentions of doing it, but what's hard is sticking with it. Thats what the group helped me with. It made it so I didn't quit. I had to "check in" daily and not just share my journey with my coach but also with lots of other challengers in my group. I felt like I didn't want to let anyone down and it made me so committed.

I ended up getting the results I wanted, but it also made me want to be a coach so I could help others feel as great as I did. I was amazed how quickly I could turn my habits around and how fast I saw results become I went "all in."

This month I will be sharing with my challengers several summer recipes to enjoy. In the group we will mix it up with some healthy summer food options. I am going to get creative and find some not so ordinary summer recipes to try. 
One of the many recipes I will be sharing in this challenge. Our goal will be to make healthy summer eating fun and delicious. 
In addition I will try my best to make meal planning seem less like a chore and more like fun. We will even be having a few in person activites to help the challengers strengthen their bond. Obviously not all of my clients live in the same area so some will miss out on that part, but for my local clients this is something exciting and new for them to get to enjoy.

Fresh Summer Fruit Salad

A New Twist On Watermelon

A great friend of mine stopped in at my dads 4th of July party and she brought this along as a side dish. I was pretty apprehensive about trying this because of the combo of fruits and veggies. It just seemed like a weird mix but I decided I was going to try it because I love all of the ingredients I just didn't think I would love them together. Turns out I was wrong. This was awesome and such a fun combo for summertime. 
Take my advice and give it a try. It won't disappoint - I promise. 

Ingredients 1 large Watermelon1 pint of blueberries½ cup red onion, sliced1 tbsp Mint, chopped¾ cup Feta Cheese1-2 tbsp Olive Oil1-2 tbsp Balsamic reduction

DirectionsChop watermelon and combine with blueberries and chopped mint leaves Mix in chopped onion and feta cheeseTop with olive oil and balsamic. Mix around to be sure all ingredients are covered Allow it to "marinate" for a bit before enjoying

Chocolate Shakeology Truffles


Believe it or not I actually HATE baking. Everything I make only ever turns out "so so" and I always make a huge mess of the kitchen. Cooking I am fine with, baking not so much. Very rarely will you find me making baked goods. 

The other day I challenged my clients in my challenge group to create some Shakeology recipes that were not just drinks rather desserts and treats make with these yummy superfoods. I decided I couldn't offer up the challenge and not try it myself so I put together some chocolate truffles. 

Oh man did they ever turn out great!! This one was easy. Didn't make a mess of my kitchen and lasted for a few weeks in the fridge. Give it a try if your craving something sweet but don't want to fall off the clean eating wagon completely. 

Ingredients 
  • 1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology
  • 1/2 scoop Beachbody Performance Recovery (or chocolate protein powder)
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 3 TBSP pure maple syrup 
  • 3 TBSP almond milk
  • 1 TBSP coconut oil
  • 1 TSP vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips 
Directions
Mix first 8 ingredients together in bow

Heat last ingredient (chocolate chips) in pot on stove until melted (or in microwave- approx 2 min)

After first 8 ingredients are mixed, make balls about 1 inch in diameter. Place on cookie sheet on parchment paper

Put balls in fridge for 15 minutes

After chocolate is melted, take balls out of fridge and dip using spoon or toothpick so the chocolate covers a light layer around ball and place back on parchment paper. 

Put balls back in fridge for 10 minutes

If you have remaining chocolate, you can drizzle lightly across balls to make it look pretty.

Put back in fridge for 5 minutes

Serve and enjoy!!
