State College Super Saturday - Team Beachbody Corporate Event

Coming Soon To Happy Valley!

Sarah Griffith, top beachbody coach, Kam Niskach, State College Super Saturday, State College Beachbody Coach, top beachbody coach state college, central pa super saturday event,

When I first became a Beachbody coach I remember how important my coach kept telling me it was to get to the Super Saturday events. She kept insisting that I would love it and that it would help to move my business forward. But here's the thing. I put it off for a little bit. I started coaching in March of 2014. The events are held four times a year typically April, August, October, and January. In April I still felt brand new so I didn't go. In August I bought a ticket and chickened out and finally in October that year I bought my first ticket and have not missed an event since. Quite honestly I think I was nervous to go for some reason. I was worried I wouldn't know anything or was "too new" to be at something like that. Here's the thing, there is no such thing as being "too new" to the business to be at these events. The sooner you can get yourself there the sooner you learn how to move your business forward at a faster pace. It is a wonderful event and I was lucky enough to be going to the Pittsburgh Super Saturday events. Why was Pittsburgh so special? Because that's where my upline was, its where my friends were and its where two of the top ten coaches in the entire network live and host the trainings.

After attending a few of the Pittsburgh ones I started to think to myself, man how cool would it be to bring an event like this to Happy Valley. I decided to put it on my goal board for this year. As my team of local coaches began to grow I knew we could pull something like this off. We have been working to plan it for a few months now and cannot wait to pull this off.

Sarah Griffith, top beachbody coach, Kam Niskach, State College Super Saturday, State College Beachbody Coach, top beachbody coach state college, central pa super saturday event,
A few of the many coaches on the State College Market Council helping to pull this event together!
Here is a little run down of what the event will look like. It will take place on Saturday April 2, 2016 from 1:00 - 5:00 pm. You can purchase a ticket by clicking here.  Be sure to bring along a notebook and pen to take notes during the training. You will also want to bring some water and healthy snacks to keep you full during the day. We highly recommend you bring your spouse along to learn more about the business or any friends or family you have who might be considering the coaching opportunity.

Upon your arrival you will present your ticket, get a name tag and then head on over to our Shakeology bar to try some samples before finding your seats.

We will kick the day off with a welcome and then do some coach recognitions and introductions of the State College Market Council.

We will hear a challenger and coach success story then transition into the corporate training piece.
There will be a short video with details about all the upcoming things for the spring/ summer product launches.

After that we will then do a 30 - 40 minute training to help you grow your business. Our topics are on the following:

* Mastering the 3 vital behaviors
* Finding your passion as a coach
* Transitioning from a discount coach to a working coach
* Building the business while managing a full time job

There will be a short break while we clear the room to get ready for our live workout. I am over the moon excited that we will be bringing Kam Niskach to State College. She is currently ranked the number 4 Beachbody Live Master Trainer in the entire company. She delivers the most amazing workouts! You will see so much energy, she just lights up the room! You don't want to miss this workout!

Master Trainer Kam - You can catch some of her workouts on Beachbody On Demand.
After the workout, the event will end and you can head home. We are certain you will be leaving excited about your business, a tiny bit exhausted from the workout and probably with a few new friends you didn't have before the event.

We cannot wait to meet you all! Hope you can make it!! All are welcome! Wear your BLUE AND WHITE!!!!

Hammer & Chisel Week 5 Recap

-Getting Closer To Our Goals -

Hammer and Chisel meal plan, Hammer and Chisel recipes, Hammer and chisel transformations, sarah griffith, top beachbody coach state college,

We are back in action. If you have been following my weekly recaps from Hammer and Chisel you would have read that we lost a little bit of motivation for a few weeks. It wasn't that we were outright not doing it we just were not focused like I knew we should have been. Something clicked last weekend leading into this week and I was back in the game and motivated. I was really proud of myself for not missing a workout this week. We mostly stuck to the meal plan I had created for us and I even tried a few new recipes. We put together a pretty awesome broccoli cheese soup recipe that was really simple and quick.

Hammer and Chisel meal plan, Hammer and Chisel recipes, Hammer and chisel transformations, sarah griffith, top beachbody coach state college,

My partner in crime was also back in action with me and for a few of the days our little man joined us too. He told us he likes working out with the "sweaty guy" compared to the girl. The sweaty guy is Sagi from Hammer and Chisel and the girl is Autumn both are the trainers we workout with on the program.
Hammer and Chisel meal plan, Hammer and Chisel recipes, Hammer and chisel transformations, sarah griffith, top beachbody coach state college,

Mid week I celebrated turning the big 2-9! It was an awesome day. My friends and family treated me like a queen. Lots of presents, flowers, cards and love. Excited for this year. I really feel like big things are coming my way. I have been working hard on a lot of personal and business goals to create what I call life by design. I have a feeling my hard work will soon be paying off. On my birthday we went out to dinner. I even had some cake and ice cream this week so there were a few treats. Honestly though, that does not phase me. This has never been about a diet, rather a lifestyle change. I eat clean 90% of the time. A few treats won't kill me.

One thing that I have found very motivating is the fact that I am starting to see a physical transformation in myself which has not always been common with me. I have not lost weight in awhile and I weigh more than I did when I started my journey because of the muscle I gained. However,  I am currently down 6 lbs since starting the program. Which for me is actually quite a lot!

Here's to keeping up this motivation in the coming week ahead of me. Getting closer to the end of the program. Going to add in the 10 minute ab additions as often as I can in these next few weeks. You may remember this but my husband and I are competing against one another for the best transformation. I am hoping I win, but he may still beat me. Something about a girl with goals, she's pretty hard to beat if you know what I mean.

Below you will find what this weeks meal plan looks like! This is my number one tool for being successful with healthy eating. Meal planning is a must for everyone!

Clean Chicken Fried Rice

No Need For Take Out Anymore - Make This One At Home

chicken fried rice, 30 minute meals, healthy chicken fried rice, chicken fried rice, 21 day fix approved, clean cooking, sarah griffith, top beachbody coach state college,

We love chicken friend rice but what I don't love is all of the awful chemicals that tend to be used when you buy it from a take out place. This weekend when we were snowed in, I decided to try making it myself instead. Not to brag but I kind of knocked this one out of the park. It was a huge hit!! My only complaint was that the left overs the next day were a tiny bit dry so plan to eat this one all up on the day you make it!

Ingredients
1 bag of frozen mixed veggies (I went with organic but you could use either)
Brown Rice
3 organic brown eggs (again any egg would work)
1 onion diced
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts cut up
Olive oil for sautéing the chicken
3 cloves of garlic
Braggs liquid aminos( You can find this in the organic/ health food section of most grocery stores)
Pink Himalayan salt
Black Pepper
Organic raw honey
3 small pads of unsalted organic butter

Directions
Cut up chicken into bite size pieces. Use about a tablespoon of olive oil to sauté the chicken.
After the chicken is cooked season with the garlic cloves, pink Himalayan salt, pepper and a drizzle of honey
Add in the chopped up onions and allow them to cook until clear
While onions are sautéing cook the mixed veggies according to package
Also cook rice according to package. I used enough rice for 4 servings.
Once you add in the mixed veggies drizzle the Braggs Liquid aminos over the mixture. I didn't really measure exact amount just made sure I was covering everything. I would assume I used 3 - 4 tablespoons
Then move your mixture to one side of the pan. Crack your three eggs into the pan and quickly move them around until they look like scrambled eggs. Combine that with your chicken and veggie mixture.
Lastly add in the cooked rice. Mix well. I then added in a bit more salt, pepper and braggs. Followed by three small pads of organic butter. I let it sit for 5 minutes then served it!

Enjoy!

My Honest Review Of The Honest Company

The Verdict's In - I Love The Products

thyroid health, hypothyroidism, organic, organic living, fragrance free, all natural, honest company, honest company product review, honest brand, sarah griffith, top beachbody coach state college,

Since I began my own journey towards becoming healthier,  my views on things have drastically changed. I am absolutely not the same person I was when I started my own journey and transformation. Not only has my opinions about exercise and eating changed, but my entire lifestyle has changed. Let me explain: It first started with me becoming very cognizant about what ingredients were in our foods. I began to adopt a five ingredient or less rule at the grocery store. If it had something I couldn't pronounce or had more than five ingredients we avoided it. This was my way of cutting out processed foods. This was no easy task because quite honest we were eating a lot of junk. From there it stemmed into my quest to be all organic. I became a nut about what was going into my body and my families. I was on a mission to keep the processed chemicals out and try to eat foods in their most natural state. While I am not 100% organic (it's really hard to do actually) I am about 90%. I started small with the "dirty dozen" of suggested items you should eat that are organic. Then next went to meats and lunch meats and eggs. I had been all organic on my sons snacks from the start we were already there with that. I then switched our milk to all organic as well as our butter. Lately I have moved into only buying cooking ingredients like olive oil, coconut oils, spices, sugars and the list goes on and on that are organic. Basically I started small and worked my way here. Often I get questioned if it is expensive to shop this way. The answer depends on how you shop. If you stick with the perimeter of the grocery store and try your best to only buy foods in their most natural state, this isn't going to be all that more expensive. However, if you do all organic and load up on processed foods that may say they are organic, your looking at a fortune at the store. I am very careful to always look for the USDA organic label. Some companies are good at "marketing organic" but don't have enough organic products in them to be certified. I am learning very quickly that just because it is organic does not always mean it's "healthy."

Now for the second part to this story. Last October I learned that my thyroid was off the charts out of whack. My doctor is more of a naturalist and we began to talk about natural ways to aide in making my thyroid symptoms become less severe aside from taking medicine. One of the things she really encouraged me to do was begin to remove all products from our home that had chemicals in them as well as move towards because they can be considered endocrine disruptors.  She also encouraged me to pursue my organic lifestyle.  Little by little, I began to change things. I threw out all of my plastic containers and switched everything to glass for our food storage, tried my best to removed products that contained fragrance, (I kicked my beloved Amber Romance lotion from Victoria Secret to the curb) and even got rid of the typical deodorant that most use and switched to a salt stick. I kept searching for a more natural approach.  I became a hawk about what I was not only putting into my body but also what I was putting on it. My husband often joked that I was becoming a crazy person,  but he went along with my wishes anyways even if I was making him nuts. All along I have been teaching my son about what it means to buy organic and why it's better for our bodies to be "chemical free." I have to say nothing makes more proud than when my three year old questions if something is organic. My hope is to teach him to live the same lifestyle.

This leads me to my review of The Honest Company. This past summer I came across the book The Honest Life by Jessica Alba. It was a great resource for me to learn more, but it also got me interested in giving the Honest Brand products a try. I learned online that they have a "bundle option" to get monthly shipments of the products so I decided to give it a try. A friend of mine shared with me some of her reviews on which products were worth trying and she also gave me a tip that I should make my five bundle options the most expensive choices then add on the less expensive items at the end. You have the option to get a few additional items at 25% off after your five bundle items. I loved the products from my first shipment and am anxious to use these new items from my newest shipment I just got this week. I liked this so much I actually went ahead and ordered a bundle for my mom too since she also has thyroid issues. One thing that I really appreciate about the brand is that most of the products do have the USDA certified label for being organic. My only complaints so far is that when I ordered the laundry soap the first time and also the hand soap, they got opened somehow and spilled on some of the other products in the box. Honest company handled it very well. They sent me a new bottle of laundry soap and hand soap with free overnight shipping. I don't know if it was bad luck or something that happens often, but the bottle of laundry soap leaked again during the shipping process. When I let them know they actually refunded me 10% of my entire order. Pretty great if you ask me. So my advice would be to avoid ordering the laundry soap online and just buy it in the store. You can get most of this stuff at Target.  Stay tuned for more product reviews and check out my video for my "honest review" of each that I have tried so far! Here is a link to let them know I referred you and it will allow you to save $10.00 off your first bundle if you are a new customer. Let me know your thoughts and your own reviews on the products if you give them a try yourself!

Just A Girl Who Decided To Go For It...

It's Time To Start Living The Life You Have Only Imagined

transformation story, financial freedom, work from home, fitness coach, top beachbody coach state college, sarah griffith, elite beachbody coach,

The business of Beachbody coaching has allowed me the privilege to interact with many people on social media that I don't actually know in "real life". At first it was very difficult networking with so many "strangers" but I quickly learned that I loved the interactions and was able to form connections with many. I remember reaching out to one of my newest coaches Shianne this past winter. When I first started talking with her we had a great connection but she had zero interest in what I did as a Beachbody coach. She was and still is a gym lover to the core. She was already fit and seemed to have clean eating down.
transformation story, financial freedom, work from home, fitness coach, top beachbody coach state college, sarah griffith, elite beachbody coach,

Most would see her and quickly move on to someone else who needed more guidance in getting healthy. But not me.... What I quickly learned about Shianne is that she has a CRAZY strong work ethic and works harder than ANYONE I know. I have no idea how on earth she does everything and still seems so put together, but she literally is like SuperWoman. She is working four jobs and seems to never stop. That in itself told me something about her. I knew from day one she would to whatever it was going to take to be successful and I wanted someone like her on my team.

To me I saw the Beachbody opportunity not as her saving grace for her health like it usually is the case for many. Rather to be her saving grace from the chaotic life she is living right now. She has a stunning little girl who I know she would love nothing more than to spend more time at home with her.
transformation story, financial freedom, work from home, fitness coach, top beachbody coach state college, sarah griffith, elite beachbody coach,

She is a dreamer wants big amazing things for her family. I have no doubt that she has what it takes to be successful in this business. I knew I had her golden ticket to a different lifestyle and I felt compelled to share it with her. Let me just say signing Shianne up as a coach on my team was not an easy thing to do. However, I saw my role as a business mentor too important to not continue to extend the offer. I knew that from a business perspective, I had the power to change not only her life but her entire families life so I stayed consistent and kept offering to take her under my wing. It wasn't until after she joined me for Super Saturday in Pittsburgh that she finally saw how much potential there was for her in this company. That evening she took the first steps towards creating something bigger than she could ever imagine for her family and signed up to be a coach. As I guessed, she has been a rock star from day one and is already helping so many of her own challengers  have amazing weight loss transformations.

transformation story, financial freedom, work from home, fitness coach, top beachbody coach state college, sarah griffith, elite beachbody coach,
Of course I had to share her own transformation with you. She did one round of the 21 day fix. As you can see, she was already fit but looks even more amazing now!

Keep your eyes on this girl she's going straight to the top of this company. Just sit back and watch.

Cize Test Group

Love To Dance? - Why Don't You Join Me?

cize, cize test group, new beachbody product, zumba, hip hop, challenge group, sarah griffith, top beachbody coach state college,

Okay I am about to be pretty real with you - I hate dancing. I have two left feet and it takes me an eternity to get the moves down. Looking back I feel bad for all of my old dance teachers. I am one of those who are very slow to learn. In the past I tried a Zumba class and liked it but kept getting frustrated that I couldn't keep up. I liked to stay at the back of the class so I could watch and nobody could see my moves. It just was never my thing.

Well this month I am breaking out of my shell and I will be putting the weights down to try out the newest Beachbody program, CIZE. It is going to launch this week while I am at Summit and I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Excited for a little challenge. The best part is, I am doing this from home so no more hiding in the back row just me and the basement and my killer moves.

The program is 4 weeks long and I will be going thru it for the first time along with my coaches. We will be taking applicants who would like to be a part of our official test group. The group will begin on July 27th.

There is something cool about being in a test group! Fun to experience a program with others who are all doing it for the first time.

So if dancing or hip hop is your thing or maybe if it isn't and you would like it to be, fill out the application below and I will be in touch so I can get you enrolled in the test group.

Check out the video I made to tell you what comes along with your CIZE challenge pack!

fixate cookbook, fixate recipe, 21 day fix approved, 21 day fix recipe, autumn calabrese, clean snacking, homemade ice cream, sarah griffith, top beachbody coach state college,

I won't lie, I am dying for the launch of the new 21 day fix cookbook! I cannot wait to see what all will be included. BUT in the meantime we were given a sneak peak of a few recipes from the cookbook. I decided to give this "ice cream" recipe a try.

My son and I had a blast making it together - it was super easy and very healthy for him. The best part was he totally thought it was ice cream. Happy kiddo = happy mommy! You have to try this one with your family or for yourself!

21 Day Fix & 21 Day Fix Extreme Cookbook Coming Soon

Introducing Fixate - The Newest Addition To The Beachbody Family

fixate, 21 day fix extreme, 21 day fix, fixate cookbook, 21 day fix cookbook, 21 day fix recipes, sarah griffith, top beachbody coach state college,

Genius is the only thing I can say when I think about the new cook book fixate that will be launching on July 14th! I am over the top excited because this is something that some of my challengers needed desperately! I have seen so many of my clients get success with programs like the 21 day fix and the 21 day fix extreme but what seems to hang them up the most is the meal planning and deciding how to "count the containers" for recipes. I always try my best to help them but sometimes it is more of a guessing game.

Now cue this new cookbook - Autumn took the guess work out of it! She has included 101 of her favorite clean healthy recipes and does the break down for you. She has plenty of options for those who are paleo, gluten free, vegan and vegetarian. There is something for everyone for all kinds of meals each day - breakfast, lunch,  dinner, shakeology and even cocktails!

I can see this being a lifesaver for many of my challengers who struggle with the meal planning part!

Personally I absolutely love to cook so this is going to be right up my alley! Typically I am a Pinterest girl when it comes to finding recipes while doing the fix but I have a feeling the Griffith house is going to be enjoying lots of fun 21 day fix approved dinners shortly after this launches!!

For my July challenge group that I am hosting I am planning to focus on the family not just moms! I decided I will give away copy of the cookbook to one lucky person who purchases the 21 day fix or 21 day fix extreme challenge pack from me. I will do the drawling to see who the winner is right before the group starts!

If you think you might be interested in my next challenge group and the opportunity to learn more about the fixate cookbook please fill out the application below. I will be in touch shortly. Click here to sign up to have me as your coach!

The group will run for 28 days. Taking you right up until the upcoming school year. This is your last chance to get back on track before the chaos of a new school year begins again.

Aerial Yoga - My Virginia Beach Souvenir

Check That One Off The Bucket List!

This past week we were on vacation in Virigina Beach and as we were driving down I got to thinking about my bucket list and wondered if there was anything I could cross off that week while I had some extra help. (my mom and her husband were with us for the trip). It dawned on me that I had been wanting to try aerial yoga so I quickly checked my phone to see if there were any place locally I could try out. Right away Airotique Studio popped up. I looked at the class schedule and they had an opening for two that Wednesday night we were going to be there. I booked them and talked my mom into coming along. She was not nearly as excited about it as I was but was a good sport anyways!
aerial yoga, yoga, flexibility, bucket list, sarah griffith, top beachbody coach state college,
Our teacher Nikki! She was a great help!
When we got there we were told we had to take off all jelwery and needed to be free from any lotions. I read that you should wear long pants so I planned ahead and went with my lulu yoga ones. They had zippers so they actually put some duck tape on me so that I did not harm the silk we would be hanging out in for the next hour. No cameras were allowed back in the studio so I was not able to take as many pictures as I would have liked!

aerial yoga, yoga, flexibility, bucket list, sarah griffith, top beachbody coach state college,
Can you say excited?? If you look behind me you can see the silk hammoks we got to use
All I can say is while this looks like lots of fun and simple it's actually very challenging and required more upper body strength than I could have guessed. We got to do some pretty crazy poses and hang upside down. My mom was a fan of the full hammok pose where we got to lay in them and rest :) She said she would never go back again and that I tortured her. I should also mention that my mom does not workout like it do. ;) Sorry mom! All in all I really liked it and was glad I went. The next morning  I woke up with sore hands and also felt sore where my "love handles" are. The silk piches you a bit when you hang from it!
aerial yoga, yoga, flexibility, bucket list, sarah griffith, top beachbody coach state college,
The owner had taken this picture when we were in action learning the basics
I would encourage anyone to give this a try just for something different! While I don't think I want to do it every week I am glad to be able to say I tried it!

What Would You Do With An Extra $500 - $1,000.00 A Week?

Ever Dreamed Of Just A Bit More?

Have you ever wished you had just a little bit more in your bank account for the fun stuff each week? I used to until I became a Beachbody coach. I live a great life, I really do - I live in a beautiful neighborhood in brand new house, my husband and I have great jobs and we truly have so many blessings. But I often found myself wishing for a tiny bit more each month... just for little stuff - I call it fun money! We had a pot of fun money each month but honestly I just wanted to have a little bit more fun.

I will be honest though, I  really did not go into this coaching opportunity for the income more so I just wanted a discount on my Shakeology. I knew if I just helped two people each month it would cover my cost of the product completely so that's where I started. Little did I know that I was slowing building my own little empire while I worked my business in my pajamas each night after my son went to bed. The income I am now making did not happen over night. It comes with hard work. I put lots and lots of hours into helping my clients with their weight loss journeys as well as helping mentoring and leading my coaches as they learn to build their own businesses. If you want to be successful in life you have to be willing to work harder than everyone else. So I told myself that day in and day out. Every night even when I didn't feel like it, I worked and worked and today - a year and a half later the magic is starting to happen. Although I shouldn't say magic, I should say hard work is paying off. There is nothing magical about success - you earn it. I am currently ranked 169 out of 300,000+ coaches in the network. That puts me in the top 1.5% in the company. While it's not top 10 like I want to be it's pretty darn good considering my circumstances. I did this all while working full time as a teacher, taking masters classes and being a wife and a momma! Life is busy but I know that if I keep working at the rate I am going I will be able to provide a lifestyle for my family that many can only dream of having.

Each week I am brining in between $600.00 - $1,000.00 on top of our families actual income from our jobs and each month that amount keeps growing and growing. This is money that I make without ever having to leave my home and I will be 100% honest with you - This is my passion! I love it! Every single minute of it. It allows me to combine two of my biggest interests (business and leadership) both what I have studied in college. Little did I know that starting my own fitness journey would lead me to my dream job! This opportunity has given me the freedom to work on the debt that we have, pay for dinners out, vacations,  trips to Starbucks and ULTA without it hurting the bottom line and many many many wonderful things for my son and our family. The opportunity has allowed me to not have to worry if I can afford something I want and to be able to enjoy fun little treats along the way in my life. Imagine what you could do with a little bit more each week in your bank account.

So why am I writing this? It's not to brag - it's to show you that you can have this type of opportunity too no matter how busy you are. If you have been considering giving this coaching thing a try - it's time to say WHY NOT ME? It's time to step up to the plate. You really have nothing to lose. I will be offering a 5 day sneak peak into coaching next week to give you the opportunity to learn more about what I do.

Hosting my team call - even on vacation! Absolutely love my team of coaches!

3 Day Refresh Results- I Survived... Sort Of!

You Can Do Anything You Put Your Mind To

Last July when the 3 Day Refresh came out I ordered it as soon as it was available but I couldn't stomach the first fiber sweep so I ended up giving it to one of my clients to do. I was dissapointed in myself for now following thru but never tried it again. Then shortly after we got home from Mexico my husband decided he wanted to do it and he knocked it out of the park. He lost almost 7 lbs and you could really tell. He made it look easy so I decided I wanted a redo and ordered it.

Lucky for me I recruited many of my friends, clients and coaches to do it with me so I was not alone in the challenge. Trust me you want a buddy so that someone else knows how your feeling! I put my game face on Monday morning. Took me before pictures (realized I needed it more than I thought) and went all in.

The day started out with my typical Shakeology and fruit then I had a fiber sweep at 9:00 am and some green tea about an hour later.

My biggest fear about the refresh!

Lunch was peppers and hummus. Let me just say a pepper never tasted so good that day! I was so excited to eat! In addition to the peppers and hummus I got to have a shake called Vanilla fresh with fruit in it. I was surprised how full I felt after eating the two.

One thing that surprised me and many of the others who did it with me is how MUCH WE HAD TO PEE!!! Sorry TMI I know but it was crazy! Almost every 30 minutes all day long! The other question I get is did it make you have to go to "the bathroom" a lot. The answer is no it's not that kind of cleanse.

After lunch I had a meeting that was catered with subs, soup, cookies, and chips. The struggle was real turning down all of that food. I stuck with water and used all the willpower I had.

Later I had broccoli with coconut oil for an afternoon snack and dinner was another vanilla fresh shake along with 12 (yep only 12) green beans. The same thing seemed to happen after dinner - I was full.

I will say that day one was a bit exhausting as I was in the process of detoxing from caffeine and sugar. I was grumpy, sleepy and my head hurt. (Sounds like a fun huh) ;) My best friend did it with me and over the last 3 days we had many conversations about how we were feeling! It was so helpful to have her do it along with me because I may have quit otherwise.

Day 2 I was still struggling with the headache and fatigue when I woke up so I decided not to workout my body was asking for a break. I was a little more motivated when I woke up because I had already lost 2 lbs.

My morning brought with me more temptations because my first period class had an end of the school year celebration. Lots of breakfast casseroles and sweets but I held my own. I stuck to my Shakeology.

I did great thru out the day but I found myself loosing steam when I got home that day. My advice is to do this when you are super busy so the time passes by faster. When I was making dinner I had to make chicken for my son and I ended up caving and using 8 pieces on my spinach salad I made for myself. It felt good to get some protein in me. I was so mad for cheating but it made me feel 100 times better.

That night I also caved to a handful of my sons Annie's Cheddar Bunnies. Those damn things were screaming at me to eat them. My head was slipping slowing out of the game.

I woke up on day 3 determined to make the day better than the day before and I did. In fact day 3 was much easier than all of the others. I was no longer hungry like I was the day before and my headache was gone! The end of the day brought more temptations since I had to go to Wegman's to buy food for a luncheon I was going to tomorrow and then my son asked for a cake pop from Starbucks. I said yes and didn't get anything for myself. It was the icing on the cake - I was spent so I caved and ate some of the dinner I got for my husband from Wegmans. It tasted amazing and I am was ready to be done.

I woke up this morning feeling amazing! No cravings for a coffee, lots of energy and a loss of 3.5 lbs. I look less bloated which was what I was going for. At my weight and where I am it is very hard to even drop a pound so I am happy with my results. On days 1 and 2 I would have told you this refresh was a bad idea but today I am feeling really glad that I did it.

My best friend who did it along with me lost 3 lbs and also 8 inches. I was sooooo glad to have had her and am so proud of her hard work. 8 inches in 3 days is a really big deal!!!!

Looking back on the last three days I will say I am glad I did it and I will also say it brought a lot of awareness to me about the foods I was putting into my body. I also realized I like to snack more than I realize simply out of bored and this helped me step back from that. I won't sugar coat it and say it's easy because it's not. It was hard but I wanted to prove to myself I did it. It is a great starting point for someone who is trying to regain control of their eating habits and then continue into new ways. It's not a quick fix - after the refresh is over you have to focus on clean eating. If you go thru all of it and just start eating crap again it won't be worth your efforts.

Transformation Tuesday - 21 day Fix Style

When Life Knocks You Down You Have Two Choices - Lay There Or Get Up And Fight  - Meet Jenn She Chose To Fight

Meet Jenn - Down 18 lbs and 14 inches
In this business, I get told "no" a lot when I invite people to my upcoming accountability groups.  I often hear things like the timing is not right or it's just not in the budget. To some that would be frustrating, but to me it just means they were not ready yet. Maybe they never will be but I do not take it personally, I simply keep moving on and offering my help to as many people who could benefit. I am not selective in my inviting process because in my line of work if you were to survey 10 women walking down the street if they were interested in losing a little bit of weight and gaining more energy the answer from around 9 of them is yes. My clients come in all shapes and sizes and are at all different levels when it comes to their fitness. From experience I can tell you everyone just wants to feel good about themselves.

Last summer I had reached out to Jenn and invited her to my upcoming Piyo accountability group. She was expecting and I was looking for some pregnant moms to give me their opinion of the program. She did not tell me no, in fact she seemed very interested but the timing was not right. I did not take it personally. I knew I had something great to offer her and I assured her that I would be here when she was ready. You see there are a lot of us. I think most people chuckle when someone proclaims to the world they are going to be  Beachbody Coach because there are many of us and the truth is many don't make it thru their first year in the business. I knew that was not the plan for me. I am in it for the long haul. I wanted to prove to my people who told me no not right now that I would be there waiting for them when they were ready. So I kept doing my thing.

Sadly that fall Jenn delivered a stillborn daughter Lizzie at 32 weeks. I still remember the morning she posted it on social media. I broke down crying for her and her family. Although I barely knew her I felt connected to her story. I could not imagine the grief she was going thru. I prayed for them and reached out to her and expressed my sympathy. My heart hurt for her.

Then January came around and I got a message from her asking for my help. I wanted nothing more then to help her along the way. She joined my challenge group then and started with the 21 day fix. She has since conquered that and is on to the 21 day fix extreme. She has learned to eat better, she drinks Shakeology daily and has learned what exercise can do to your emotions if you show up everyday.

She has been doing great since she started and out of the blue last week she told me she was ready to start coaching others like I had coached her. She felt like she was ready to pay it forward. (PROUD COACH MOMENT FOR SURE)!!!! To me that was inspiring but what was even more inspiring to me was that she was planning on using the extra income she was going to be making as a Beachbody Coach to start saving for adoption. Talk about a strong WHY. They always tell us as a coach we have to have a WHY. Like why we do this. That in my eyes sure is a motivator. :)

I asked her to share her story with everyone and here is what she wrote:

I started my journey in January to get rid of the baby weight and get back in shape after a vertical c-section. I was also 2 months out from losing my daughter at 32 weeks gestation. I was reaching for something, anything to help me through. I knew I needed to be there for every stage of Craig's life and to be able to carry on Lizzie's memory. I also needed to focus on myself. I contacted Sarah to join the 21 Day Fix challenge group and get this thing called Shakeology. I dove in but there were setbacks. We lost our Aunt to cancer and our Pap all within a week of each other. Through it all, I tried my best to stay on track. I am so proud of how far I have come and it gives me so much motivation to get to my goal! I have more energy and I feel better about myself knowing that I can achieve this. Each day, I have 30 minutes to myself to work out any stress, anger or anything that is weighing on my mind. At the end, I feel like a different person. I also love what Shakeology has done for me! Man do I feel a difference when I don’t drink it. I am a work in progress and you know what, I am proud of that! I don’t ever want to be satisfied with who I have become. I want to always push myself to be better!

So there it is - this is her story. She is proof that life will get you down sometimes but at the end of the day it is your job to pick yourself up off the floor and keep moving forward. Jenn I am beyond proud of all that you have accomplished and am excited for those who will get to call you their own coach. Keep up the fight - you inspire the hell outta me!
