21 Day Fix Reunion

21 day fix, 21 day fix extreme, 21 day fix challenge group, 21 day fix results, 21 day fix recipes, 21 day fix meal plans, sarah griffith, top beachbody coach,

Calling all past 21 day fix graduates! I am looking for you! I am on a quest to run a very large challenge group during the month of June with all of my past challengers to help get them re-sparked and on track with their motivation for clean eating and exercise as we head into summer.

I am encouraging you to dust off your 21 day fix programs that you have or challenge yourself to do the 21 day fix extreme for something new. For those looking to purchase the extreme version or for some reason might need a new copy of the regular fix,you should know that both programs are on sale for the month of June as challenge packs.  We will be using the new my challenge tracker app for the 21 day. Many of you have not had any experience with it yet. My clients who are using it now seem to love it. It adds a new level of accountability for tracking your progress. You can watch this quick video to learn more about what it is.

During the challenge I will be offering weekly prizes for participation. At the conclusion there will also be a prize for the challenger who the most drastic transformation. Requirements to be in the challenge will be committing to stick with it for the 21 days. You will need to follow the meal plan, do the program workouts and drink Shakeology daily for the duration of the group. Each day you will check in with the other challengers to share your progress and lean on one another for support.
The event will begin on June 20th. It’s going to be an absolute blast.  Please contact me at S.Griffith27@gmail.com if you would like to reserve a spot. Feel free to invite your friends along too if they have done the program before.

Starting Over...

Your Struggles Today Are Your Strengths Tomorrow

There really are no words to describe all that I have been thru in the last few weeks. Our emotions have traveled a heck of a roller coaster. We were on a high because after three years, we were some how able to get pregnant. Then a few short weeks later we learned that things were not looking great and we spent a few weeks being terribly worried. Only to later to learn that the baby was not going to make it. This past week I had my surgery to remove what remained of the pregnancy. To say it was hard, it a bit of an understatement.

miscarriage, loss, infertility, 21 day fix, 21 day fix meal plan, 21 day fix results, 21 day fix women's results, sarah griffith,
Heading into surgery on Monday.
I will be quite honest. When we learned I was pregnant, I was so afraid to mess anything up so I basically quit exercising. The doctors told me light exercise would be fine since I had already been active but I decided it was not worth the risk so I just stopped almost all together. Some would think oh no big deal who cares. Heres the thing though, for the last three years exercise was a part of my daily life. It was a part of me. The exercise was my stress relief. The workouts were not for weight loss they were for health and quite honestly it helped to keep my spirits up during hard times. I grew to really enjoy it and when I stopped I felt like a piece of me went missing.

All I was hanging on to was clean eating and truthfully that started to slip the more stressful things became as I learned something might be wrong with the pregnancy. I found myself slipping back to my old ways and getting lazy about what I was fueling my body with. The more junk I started to eat the more lousy I began to feel.

I hit what I would call a bit of a rock bottom this week. Emotionally I have been a terribly sad and completely not myself. I spent much of the week recovering from the surgery I had on Monday. I went back to work on Thursday and Friday but have mostly been staying off social media and away from everyone. It seems the only person I feel like talking with is my husband and a very small handful of people. I realize it's not a great place to be but it's how I am getting thru and where I am right now. I also realize I need to get back to ME. While that may take time, I need to start somewhere and for me the only place I know can start with is my health.

miscarriage, loss, infertility, 21 day fix, 21 day fix meal plan, 21 day fix results, 21 day fix women's results, sarah griffith,

It's what feels familiar, its my old sense of normal and it's what I can control. So that is my plan. Controlling the controllable and handling the rest day by day.

The game plan is to start Saturday April 30th with the original program that I started with three short years ago when I started my journey as a challenger turned coach. I will spend the next 21 days doing the original 21 day fix. I will be drinking my Shakeology daily and using the portion control containers with my meal plan and working out 30 minutes a day each day. I am certain there will be days when I just don't feel like it, but I am making no excuses. I want to feel better about myself again and this is where I can start. Since March I have gained 9 lbs all of which I am almost certain I can drop in those 21 days. If I don't, that's okay too. This isn't about weight loss it's about getting back to my old self.

miscarriage, loss, infertility, 21 day fix, 21 day fix meal plan, 21 day fix results, 21 day fix women's results, sarah griffith,

I am asking for some support and extra cheering on in these coming weeks. I'm ready to turn my struggles into tomorrows strength. Your welcome to join me instead of just watching if you would like! Glad to have you along for the ride!

A Letter To The Mom I Used To Be

What I Wish I Would Have Known...

This weekend my son celebrated his 4th birthday. While it is a huge celebration, it is also an anniversary for me. I should explain... two years ago on the night of his birthday party after all the cleaning up and excitement, I lay in bed thinking about how much I needed to change my lifestyle. I was a new mom on the verge of exhaustion. I saw a Facebook ad about the 21 day fix. I was sort of intrigued. I laid in bed that night for almost two hours researching and trying to see if I could ever do a program like that. After lots of time checking it out, I decided I needed to have it and that is where all of "THIS" began.

Today in celebration of that anniversary I thought I would write a letter to me - or maybe to you if your anything like the mom that I was at that time. As you read this maybe you too can relate to how I was feeling.
Goodness does time every fly by fast. This feels like yesterday.

Hey Beautiful Momma,

Your amazing, you know that? I know you don't think that, but you are. Look at all you do. Your balancing a full time teaching job, your taking grad classes, running a home all while trying to be a good wife and mom to that sweet little boy of yours. I know you feel like you are drowning and every day feels like a marathon before it even starts. You keep it together well. I am certain nobody knows how overwhelmed you are. I get it. I know your exhausted and that to - do list you make every morning has nothing on that involves taking care of YOU. You do a beautiful job of putting everyone else first, but it's really time you stop that. Being supermom does not mean you have to let yourself and your life go. There is a different way.

Let's talk about the fact that since you had that baby you have not exercised or really bothered to eat all that well. I know your trying but your excuses are getting the best of you. Your tired and you feel like your going to be carrying around those last few pounds of baby weight forever. I hate to break it to you, but you will be if you don't step up to the plate and make a change.  I see you covering it with your arm when you sit down and I know it bothers you when you feel it. After two years it's not baby weight anymore. It's fluff and its from all of those lattes you keep drinking each day from Starbucks.

Stop doing that by the way. It's like liquid diabetes and you really don't need the early on set of that already. Plus it's costing you a fortune and I know you think it's waking you up and giving you energy but it totally isn't. It's giving you a sugar rush. That's why you feel sleepy again around 10:00 am.

I know your sitting up late right now scowling the internet to learn more about that Beachbody program that is coming out. 21 days to change your habits, 30 minutes of workouts a day, portions for your foods and a coach to keep you accountable. I know it sounds it's too good to be true. I bet that's why your still up late looking everywhere to find more information. I know your worried about what it's going to cost and I know your terrified to try that Shakeology drink you keep seeing people talk about. I know you want to do this but your afraid it's a waste of your money.

Guess what girl - it's going to be the best $140.00 you have ever spent. That program your debating is going to work and believe it or not, in less than a month from now, your going to be a new woman. Your going to learn that even though that to-do list of yours has a million and one things on it, your going to find room for one more daily to - do. Your going to have to get your butt out of bed early for those workouts, but your also going to learn to love that peace and quiet that comes along with your 4:30 am wake up call. Your going to have to sweat and your going to have to get uncomfortable. Change is tough, but your tougher.

Your going to learn not just how to eat better, but your going to turn your families nutrition habits around too. Your hubby isn't going to like it at first but give him time. He's going to come around and buy in. That toddler of yours is going to learn to eat healthy right along with you. In a few short months he is going to be a lot less picky. Feed him what your having each night. Don't cave he will eat it. He will grow up eating clean organic home cooked meals and actually hates mac and cheese and won't even know what a chicken nugget is.  I know you don't believe me yet just have some faith.

That Shakeology your afraid of - yeah I know that is what's holding you back the most. Your worried about the taste because you have never once in your life had a meal replacement before or ever even thought of trying one. Get over your fear - you don't know this yet but your going to love it. So much so that you actually won't miss a day in over two years. It's going to help prevent you from getting all of those colds you usually catch from your students. Sorry to have to be the one to give you the bad news, but it's not going to taste that great the first few times you try to make it. That's because your actually not making it right. Blend that thing - don't just add water. Use some fresh fruits and extracts. Get some fun recipes and ask your coach for some tips. After you get over that hurdle your golden. I know you told yourself that you would only use it for the challenge but girl your going to surprise yourself.

I am going to tell you something else that you couldn't have ever seen coming. In a few short months not only are you going to be a new women, your going to feel so great that you are going to want to pay it forward to others. I know your not looking for one more thing to add to your list but this little life change your making is actually a bigger change than you think. Your going to become a coach and it's going to change your entire world. You will be fitter, healthier, happier and even a bit more wealthier. Your going to form some killer friendships and your going to find what your true passion is in life. Trust me, you got this. Keep your eyes wide open and just go for it.

And by the way - just a few more things. Stop stressing about that muffin top. It will go away eventually. (It's actually going to be the last thing that will go away, but it WILL GO AWAY.) But you should really stop worrying about that muffin top. It means you are part of a club that many women would kill to be in. That belly carried a life and it blessed you with one heck of a miracle. You did a good job and moms don't really need abs anyways.

And lastly - slow down. Stop rushing, stop running and stop wishing things away. Stop longing for the day when he sleeps thru the night or doesn't need fed by you or stops making messes on the floor. You don't know this yet, but your going to struggle a lot trying to have another. I wish I could use my glass ball to tell you the other one is on the way, but my ball can't see that far ahead yet. What I can tell you it's going to test your faith and be harder than you ever thought it would be. I can tell you that you need to take it all in and treat this one like he is your only one, because he might actually be your only one so soak up every minute. He won't be little for long. Your heart is going to ache for these days and memories.

So stop waiting - order your damn challenge pack your on the fence about. It's not the first time you spent a lot of money on something and it won't be the last. That $140.00 dollars will be the best investment you ever made. Your worth it.

You got this girl! Good luck!
Love,
The older and wiser version of yourself

Transformation Tuesday - Meet Michelle

Some Pretty Amazing 21 Day Fix Results

I have been coaching now for two and a half years. During this time I have seen a lot of challengers find success while using the 21 day fix. In fact, it's my go to recommendation for most because it is a great starting point. I find that most everyone needs some guidance with portion control and learning to eat clean. The exercise is often the easier part, the eating is what is hard for most. When one of my personally sponsored coaches on my team reached out to me and shared that one of her challengers had lost 17 lbs in 21 days I couldn't help but insist that we share her story. 17 lbs in 21 days is unreal! Most of the time I see many of my challengers lose between 5 - 10 lbs in 21 days. I asked her to share her story and why she decided to do this challenge. Her why is pretty powerful! After you read her story, I hope you will be inspired to believe that you really can change your body and your lifestyle in a very short amount of time!

Michelle's Round 1 Transformation
I had just had my third baby 6 weeks prior when my coach reached out to me on Facebook about Beachbody and suggested the 21 day fix to me. I took the plunge and bought the challenge pack as well as signed up as a coach.
I knew my eating habits had to change and I needed to lose weight, not only because I had just had a baby, but because of a diagnosis that was given to me in 2011. I was diagnosed with a rare pseudo tumor in my brain known as Idiopathic Intracranial hypertension. It is a non cancerous tumor that creates a fluid in your brain, and pushes up against your eyes and cranial. It causes dizziness, headaches, blurred vision, and if not taken care of properly, permanent blindness. I have had 15 spinal taps since 2011 to help drain the fluid from my brain. My neurologist told me that if I didn't start losing weight, I was going to have to have brain surgery to insert a device to help with the fluid.

Weight loss and eating healthy is a huge part of helping with symptoms. So I was and still am, extremely determined to stay away from surgery and lose the weight and eat healthy. So far, I've completed my first round of the 21 day fix, am drinking my Shakeology every day, and go by the program of the 21 day fix and I've lost 17 pounds! I'm so blessed to have been introduced to this program and feel like I am apart of an amazing team now that I am coaching! My husband and children are cheering me on everyday and love that this program has brought life back into their mommy and wife!

21 Day Gratitude Challenge

"Giving You Even More Reasons To Be Thankful This Year."

21 day challenge, 21 day fix, gratitude, blessings, thankful, thanksgiving, sarah griffith, elite beachbody coach, top beachbody

Gratitude. What does it mean to you? To me it means counting my blessings and not my troubles. It means living life to the fullest and truly being happy and grateful for all that I have been given. But here's the thing, often we get so busy with the chaos of the hustle and bustle of life, we can let that feeling of gratitude slip by the way side. Our focus can blurred and we sometimes forget how good we have it.
This month, I am not going to do that. I am going to spend the entire month focusing on my blessings and what I have to be thankful for. I will make a conscious effort to be "all there" with my loved ones. I want to approach Thanksgiving and Christmas with a grateful heart. I want my focus to be on moments and memories not material things.
Starting next Monday I will run a different type of accountability group. Not only will I help you accomplish some health and fitness goals, but I am also going to help you practice gratitude. What will be required of you? I want you to commit to 30 minutes of exercise each day, 21 days of commitment to clean eating and drinking Shakeology daily. I want to help hold you accountable and help you see the blessings you have in your life.
I want you to sit down at the Thanksgiving dinner table this year and have even more things to be thankful for than last year. One of them being better health and more happiness.
Think you need a lesson in gratitude? Want to join me in creating healthier habits leading into the New Year? Fill out the application below and I will be in touch. We kick off on Monday November 9th! I hope you will join me!

Overeating On Healthy Foods - Yep It's Possible

21 Day Fix - How Six Tiny Little Containers Helped Me Finally Lose My Baby Weight

Today I want to get real with you about what the 21 day fix did for me aside from just helping me lose weight and learn to love exercise. It helped me to learn what a correct portion of food should look like. Let me start from the beginning. I was not a terrible eater before, but what I was terrible at was portion control. I used to eat healthy but WAY too much of those healthy foods and sometimes way too much of unhealthy foods too. ;) For example in a day I would sometimes have four different servings of fruit. While it was great that I was eating "healthy foods," I was eating too much of it. I couldn't figure out why I was not able to drop my baby weight. Once I started the 21 day fix, I realized my habits were half the problem. I was lacking in veggie and protein servings and overdoing it on carbs, fruits and healthy fats. While my body was getting nutrients it needed it was not going to be enough to help me "strip down" and lose the weight. When you get down to those last 5 or 10 lbs it takes some serious effort and focus and that was what I was needing and missing.

When the challenge pack arrived at my house I remember unboxing everything and thinking "what the hell?" Seriously those containers are so small. I am going to starve for the next 21 days. That was until I learned how much I could stuff into those plastic containers. You see the fix gives you color coded containers and instead of counting calories you count containers. If it fits in it you can have it. There is a formula that you use to determine how many containers you get in a day. It came with a meal plan guide book that told me what I could put in each of the containers. In addition to all of those containers, I also had to drink half of weight in ounces of water a day and commit to doing the 30 minute exercises each day for 21 days.

Here was my breakdown for my body weight:

4 protein servings (red containers) Shakeology counted as one of my reds! Thank goodness because this was my most difficult container to get in each day. I was glad to have one that was easy to make and tasted great!
    3 vegetable servings (green containers)
    2 fruit servings (purple containers)
    2 carb servings (yellow containers)
    1 healthy fat container (blue)
    1 seeds/ nuts (orange)

My favorite way to get in my red containers - usually my go to breakfast but some days my late afternoon snack before dinner.
What I learned during my initial round of the fix was that when I ate according to the allotted containers each day, I really wasn't hungry.  I didn't even want the junk food that I used to crave all the time. The first few days I think it was more of a mind game not cheating and going back to my old ways, but after I got the hang of it, it became really easy. On thing I noticed in a big way was that protein was my friend. The more I ate of it, the more lean and fit I looked. Now to this day, I still actually eat according to that plan. While I don't use the containers anymore for my portions, I do still try to make a conscious effort to eat all of my needed containers each day. It wasn't a diet for me rather a lifestyle change. The best part was it was easy to incorporate this into what my family was already eating for dinners. (I only had to tweak a few things) and this allowed me to have a few cheats. I was allowed to trade out a yellow container three times a week for some tortilla chips, chocolate or wine. There were other options for trades but those were the ones I went with and I didn't do it every week just when I thought I needed it. That was nice because I really didn't feel deprived then. Below is an example of what one of my meal plans looked like. As you can see I ate pretty often.

Meal planning was my saving grace - it took me a little to get the hang of it but it really helped me to stay on track.
It took me two rounds to get the results I was wanting. The first round it got me on track and got rid of the bloat and pounds I wanted to drop. The second round was where I leaned out and toned up and actually started to see muscles pop. I did three rounds before I moved on to a new program but I will say that I used the container system still as I did other programs.

If you think portion control is something you struggle with and think the container system would be helpful for you, I encourage you to consider joining my upcoming challenge group that I have starting on October 19th. You have nothing to lose except the weight you have been carrying around and everything to gain. I promise it was a game changer for me.

Peanut Butter Bars - Fixate Cookbook Style

This is healthy? Seriously? Stop....

fixate, fixate cookbook, autumn calabrese, 21 day fix, 21 day fix extreme, 21 day fix meal plan, 21 day fix recipe, sarah griffith, elite beachbody coach,
Everything you need to whip up a pretty darn good dessert!
Here's the deal I HATE TO BAKE. Like hate it. I can cook you anything but if you put me in charge of desserts you would have been better to send me to the grocery store. Ask my husband if you don't believe me. That's why when I got the fixate cookbook, I pretty much just skipped right over the dessert section. Well this past week I was craving some sweets but didn't want to ruin all the hard work I had been putting in with T25. (That's the program I am currently working out with. 3 weeks in, no stopping me now.) I pulled out the cookbook and decided to see if I had anything on hand that I could somehow turn into a treat. The peanut butter bars looked easy and appealing so I went for it. What a win! I loved it and what I loved even more was that it really wasn't all that unhealthy. They were very moist and had a nice after taste. I will absolutely be making these again. Check out the recipe below to see how I made them.

Ingredients
2 eggs
Pure vanilla extract - 2 tsp.
Maple syrup - 1/2 cup
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp.
All natural creamy peanut butter - 1 1/2 cups

Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Spray a glass 8x8 pan - I used coconut oil
Combine all ingredients using a mixer
Layer into the pan using a spatula
Cook for 20 - 25 minutes
Allow to cool before cutting into squares
ENJOY!!!

I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

Today I wanted to get real with you about my challenge groups. I wanted to share with you what they mean to me and what they are all about. So heres the deal - I started this journey as a challenger myself first. I remember feeling like I "hit rock" bottom when my son had just turned 2. It was the night of his birthday party and it felt like my last straw. I was so sick and tired of being tired, living off white chocolate mocha lattes from Starbucks and NEVER having enough time for myself. I wanted things to change. Even though I was a "busy mom" I wanted to make some time for myself. In that moment I didn't know how I would do it, I just knew I had to make it work. Quickly I began to scour the Internet to learn more about the 21 day fix that was just coming out at the time. I thought there is no way you could seriously drop up to 10 lbs in 21 days or could it really work? That's all I was after just 5 or 10 lbs but more so I wanted to feel better. I was very apprehensive about Shakeology and just the idea of being in a challenge group. I really didn't understand what it all meant, but I saw one of my friends from college being successful not only as a challenger first but also as a coach. After watching her for many months, I decided to pick her because "she wasn't going anywhere." She clearly knew what she was doing when it came to helping people find success.

My group lasted for a month and at the end of the month not only did I hit my goal that I was working towards, but I also was hooked on the whole challenge group environment as well as Shakeology. It made me a new mom and wife for my husband and son. I was refreshed, energized, less crabby, happier and no longer living off of Starbucks because of my small change. Which was funny because I was SO skeptical of all of it at first. From there, I knew I wanted to help others feel as great as I did and quickly became a coach myself.

But here's the thing - I am now 18 months into coaching and helping challengers to get the results they are pushing for and to this day - I am STILL a challenger myself.  The environment that is created in a challenge group is a place that makes you feel like it's okay to fall off the wagon but you don't get to stay off the wagon. We celebrate wins big and small and encourage each other when they need it. We share recipes, health tips and ideas that we are picking up along the way as we adapt to our new lifestyles. The groups are not about being on a diet, they are about changing your lifestyle once and for all for the BETTER. I teach you how to make this a part of your life and how to make yourself proud.

During my time as a coach, I have helped countless individuals lose A LOT of weight. But what I think is more important is that I didn't give up on them when everyone else including themselves had. I kept them accountable and held their hand thru the challenge. It seems to me that regardless of your income, your profession or your weight loss goals we all just need a friend to help support us along the way.

If that's what your in need of, please fill out the application below. Allow me to be your coach, your friend, your hand holder, whatever you need. Just ask - be brave enough to say I need help with this and I can't do it alone. I can quickly place you in a support group and help get you started.

The journey is hard enough, don't face it alone

21 Day Fix & 21 Day Fix Extreme Cookbook Coming Soon

Introducing Fixate - The Newest Addition To The Beachbody Family

fixate, 21 day fix extreme, 21 day fix, fixate cookbook, 21 day fix cookbook, 21 day fix recipes, sarah griffith, top beachbody coach state college,

Genius is the only thing I can say when I think about the new cook book fixate that will be launching on July 14th! I am over the top excited because this is something that some of my challengers needed desperately! I have seen so many of my clients get success with programs like the 21 day fix and the 21 day fix extreme but what seems to hang them up the most is the meal planning and deciding how to "count the containers" for recipes. I always try my best to help them but sometimes it is more of a guessing game.

Now cue this new cookbook - Autumn took the guess work out of it! She has included 101 of her favorite clean healthy recipes and does the break down for you. She has plenty of options for those who are paleo, gluten free, vegan and vegetarian. There is something for everyone for all kinds of meals each day - breakfast, lunch,  dinner, shakeology and even cocktails!

I can see this being a lifesaver for many of my challengers who struggle with the meal planning part!

Personally I absolutely love to cook so this is going to be right up my alley! Typically I am a Pinterest girl when it comes to finding recipes while doing the fix but I have a feeling the Griffith house is going to be enjoying lots of fun 21 day fix approved dinners shortly after this launches!!

For my July challenge group that I am hosting I am planning to focus on the family not just moms! I decided I will give away copy of the cookbook to one lucky person who purchases the 21 day fix or 21 day fix extreme challenge pack from me. I will do the drawling to see who the winner is right before the group starts!

If you think you might be interested in my next challenge group and the opportunity to learn more about the fixate cookbook please fill out the application below. I will be in touch shortly. Click here to sign up to have me as your coach!

Turkey Lettuce Wraps

Turkey Lettuce Wraps

The 21 day fix extreme has some really easy fun new recipes in that that come along with the meal plan guide book. This recipe was one of them! They tasted great. I added the cheese and a little bit of guacamole for extra flavor! Even though these look really pretty I decided to cut it up like a salad after trying and failing at eating them like a wrap. I don't think I was rolling them the right way. None the less they still hit the spot! The recipe called for tomato sauce but I skipped it.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 lbs raw 93% lean ground turkey
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 6 large lettuce leaves, washed and dried
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped

Directions
  • Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.  Add turkey; cook stirring frequently for 5 minutes or until no longer pink.
  • Add garlic powder, cumin, salt, chili powder, paprika, and oregano; mix well.
  • Add onion and bell pepper, cook stirring frequently for 4 to 5 minutes, or until onion is translucent. Add in the water and diced tomatoes
  • Once your finished cooking everything serve on a fresh leaf lettuce. I topped mine with some cheddar cheese and a little dollop of guacamole.

21 Day Fix Extreme - Ready Set Go!

READY...SET...GO!!!

I have been waiting to get started with this program since I learned about it this past fall! Talk about a long time coming! The moment it went on sale I ordered it last week and even paid the extra for 2 day shipping. I SIMPLY COULDN’T WAIT TO GET IT! It arrived last week and I was excited to learn about the differences between this program and the original fix that so many of my challengers start with. I am just doing the extreme eating plan, which is very similar to the regular fix eating plan. There is a countdown to competition plan for eating but since I am not counting down to anything, I am going to start with the regular one first. I think I might give the countdown one a try right before my trip to Mexico that I earned thru Beachbody. We leave in April so I have a little bit of time!

My partner in crime who seemed to not stick with MAX 30 says he’s all in with me for fix extreme.  He was feeling bad about not doing MAX 30 and says he’s really, really, really in this time. Only time will tell but honestly out of all of my challengers I seem to have the hardest time keeping that challenger on track ;) If you know my husband and you see him eating take out or junk food give him hell for me.

My fix extreme challengers are going to start next Monday. They are mostly my original fix graduates who are now in some pretty fantastic shape and are ready to lean out. As the coach I wanted to be a week ahead of them and know what we were getting ourselves into so that is why my husband and I start tomorrow. I know the week of waiting is killing my challengers; they are pumped up and ready to go!

The game plan is to get the workouts in during the morning and do the ab fix 3 out of the 7 days this coming week as I get started. I did my meal plan and got all of my cheats out of the way. We cleared out the pantry from all the temptations and got our grocery list made. I am ready to hit the grocery store later on today! What I know about the fix is that planning and prepping are KEY to being successful. Failure to plan is like planning to fail.

My last cheat.... PSU Creamery Ice Cream. Worth it and at least I used the container for portion control right?

I took the entire week off last week to give my body a break after doing 60 days of Insanity Max 30 and to be quite honest, I am DYING to workout! Tonight we will take our before pictures and measurements and get ready to kick some fix extreme butt!

I am looking for 5 people who would be interested in having me teach them how to complete the 21 day fix or the fix extreme with success and support. Please fill out the application below if you would be interested in joining my next accountability group.

21 Day Fix & 21 Day Fix Extreme - Let Me Teach You A Better Way

Pick Your Fix

If you have made it to my blog that must mean you are curious about trying the 21 -day fix or fix extreme. Both are fabulous programs with much publicity and great results behind them. Maybe you have had a friend who tried it or maybe all of my before and after posts from my challengers have you thinking to yourself man I would love to do something like that for myself. Today I want you to answer my question WHY NOT YOU? Why are you NOT making yourself a priority? Being busy isn’t an excuse. Your to- do list will be around forever but your health will not.

Look at your lifestyle is it where you want to be? Are you close or really far off? I can help you either way you answered those questions. If you are feeling like nope I am not living a healthy lifestyle at all right now or you are not where you want to be then maybe you should consider trying the 21-day fix. For 21 days you will practice clean eating, exercise and overall well being backed by my own personal motivation and support for you.  During this time you will learn portion control and healthy habits. Most of my challengers tend to lose between 5 – 10 lbs during the first 21 days and continue to lose more the longer they stick with it.

Now for those who are already in great shape or who are graduates of other Beachbody programs. The fix extreme just launched on Monday and it will take your fitness to a completely different level. It still will focus on portion control and exercise but the workout are much more intense and involve strength training with each of the workouts. If you want to “lean out” and really see your physique change you won’t want to miss this one.

On Monday February 16th I will launch two groups this month one for those looking to go extreme with the fix and one for those looking to get started with their new lifestyle. The program will last for 21 days. Surely you can do anything for just 21 days right? Pick your fix and join me. Taking applicants for me to teach you a better way to live.  Are you in?

Fill out the application below and I will be in touch within 24 hours. Excited to begin helping you!

Transformation Tuesday - Round 1 - 21 Day Fix

Transformation Tuesday - Meet Crisinda

Today I am so excited to share with you one of my challengers round 1 results! Crisinda has just completed her first round of the 21- day fix. I want to first share with you how long it took for me to talk her into giving this a chance. She and I went back and forth a lot this summer talking about this but she was already committed to a different product and was a bit unsure about Shakeology and the program in itself. She finally decided to give this a try just a month ago and literally just a few days into this program she called to tell me how fantastic she was feeling and could not believe what Shakeology was going for her colitis. In particular this is why I wanted to share her story with you. Yes, she already looks fantastic and IS seeing results but I think it is amazing to hear what clean eating and Shakeology did for her digestive health in just 21 days! Pretty fantastic and such a relief for her. I wanted those who might be having similar health issues to know that this a potential option for some relief! She is not the first person I have worked with that has had this type of relief.

What made Crisinda’s journey thus far so awesome was that she LOVED every minute of it. I was getting happy messages all the time! She was active in our challenge group and took her journey by the horns and has owned what she wants to accomplish. She knows that there is no magic pill- the secret is hard work, determination and a commitment to what she wants to achieve. Because of this mindset I know she will not only transform her own life but also her families along the way!

I asked her to write a little note about her journey so far and here is what she wanted me to share with everyone:

“As I look at my body over the past 4 weeks I am so amazed of the changes!! I so wish I would of started months and months ago with this program. I have tried a few other programs and my belly just couldn't handle the shakes as a person who has colitis. I was very nervous to start this program but I thought you know what just try it and see what happens. Well it so turned out that my system loves the very healthy eating and the shakes too!!! All the bloating is completely gone and all my other issues have also cleared up!!!! I have never felt this great in years!!! My results are obvious and my determination and attitude are at full force to get the results I want!”

Crinsinda – Thanks for sharing your story! I hope you feel proud of your accomplishments! I could not be happier for you!

Transformation Tuesday - Meet Amanda

Meet Amanda - Mom, Wife, Doctor, Runner - Super Woman

Today I would like to feature Amanda. She is someone who I have been working with since early this summer. Amanda was introduced to me thru one of my other challengers and we have been working together ever since. The funny part about this business is I have never met Amanda but I could tell you all of her struggles, successes and a bit about her because of her involvement in my recent challenge group. I hope that sometime soon we can meet up and toast to her accomplishments but in the mean time I wanted to give her a special shout out and cheer her on. I hope that this will inspire many of you to start your journey no matter where you are in your life, no matter how many pounds you have to lose or how many babies you have at home. She is living proof that you CAN do it!

When I asked her to write me a little story about her journey here is what she told me:
"I have always been active in life.  I have run 5 half marathons and love trail running.  I also do outdoor boot camps.  But I never could lose all the weight after having my second baby.  I tried weight watchers, Atkins, no sugar diet and nothing worked.  When I found out I was pregnant with my third son at 38, I was very afraid I would hang onto even more weight after this pregnancy (metabolism does drop as you age!).  And being a working mom with three kids... I knew I wouldn't have enough time to do a lot. My friend was doing 21 day fix and loved it so I thought I would try.  My weight loss post pregnancy had stalled despite trying to eat healthy and exercising.  I started at 170 lbs.  I have done 2 rounds of the fix and lost 16 lbs so far and countless inches around my waist /hips.  All my clothes fit now!  And I wore a bikini at the beach for the first time in 8 years (4 months after having my third baby!). More than that-- I feel great and have tons of energy.  I feel in control and I am never hungry.  I recently went on vacation for a week and maintained my weight loss :).  My goal is to lose 5-10 more lbs and tone my stomach area more.  Honestly-- I plan to eat this way for life.

"She is just as busy as the rest of you, but she MAKES the time for what she knows her body needs and what she wants for herself."

Keep up the fantastic work Amanda!!! You have made me so proud and I cannot wait to see your final afters!!!

Getting Back on Track After A Vacation

What To Do When The Wheels Fall Off The Wagon

Well I wish I could say I am returning home from my vacation and am still on track with my goals and healthy lifestyle but I will be completely honest. The wheels fell off the wagon and they fell off in a bad way. I suppose I shall confess now and let it all out there…

The trip started out great- we were packed and prepared. I packed all of my workout clothes, some healthy things that I knew we could not buy at the beach my Shakeology, and best of all a healthy picnic to eat on the way to the beach. We planned to stop at a park to let our son play while we picnicked on a healthy lunch rather than junk drive thru foods. It was a win win in my eyes. That did happen and it was really great.

Now lets talk more – as we passed Harrisburg I realized OH NO…. I forgot my workout DVD’s that I had planned to use while we were there. Step number 1 in the WRONG direction. Of all things to forget this is not something I wanted to not have with me.  I am not a runner otherwise that could have been my backup plan.

When we got there we were greeted by my family and were staying in a fantastic condo with a perfect ocean view, all the makings for a great vacation. At this point I should probably tell you more about my dad who was along with us.  He loves snacks; every kind you can think of he loves them and always has way too much on hand. To make matters worse he insists that you try some of this and here have that.  It is usually a type of chip or dip or candy, a healthy eating nightmare. He does it with a kind heart and means well by it so he is hard to say no to. I knew this going into this trip so that’s why I packed my own stuff. But my will power began to fade by day 2. I spent the trip snacking with the best of them. Chips, dip, pizza, fries, subs from our favorite sub place, boardwalk treats. You name it we ate it. In the moment it tasted great but if you practice clean eating you know that those foods will make you sick if you are not used to them, and that it did.

One of the many snacks

"Snacking, what we did best at the beach this week. At least I had a salad if you can see it in the picture."

Carter with is snack of choice for the week - Organic Animal Crackers

All of my snacking and lack of exercise left me tired, bloated and rather grumpy and mad at myself for not sticking to the plan I had for myself. The good news is that everyone gets a new week to start back over. This week is my week. Today I meal planned, found some new fun recipes and grocery shopped. Emptied out the pantry of anything that might get in my way and am ready to get back on track this week. If feels good! I have decided I am going to do a round of the 21 day fix. It is my favorite and has given me the best results out of all of my programs that I have. If you are feeling like I was after my vacation contact me and I will help get you back on track! All it takes is some planning, support and the right mindset!

"Some of my healthy foods from the store this morning"

"Ready for a great week"

Lesson learned – vacations are so much fun but also oh so hard to stick to your “lifestyle” unless you are really prepared! Kudos to those of you who are able to stick to things while you are vacationing! Next year I will do better. But at least we had a great time and made many fun family memories!!
